Sarah Rasmussen
Owner and Style Director
Sarah has owned The Avenue Hair Studio since October 2012 and says she was born to be a hairdresser. She started working part time in a salon while still at school and has been hairdressing ever since. Sarah’s OE was spent on luxury cruise ships, working as a senior hairdresser and assistant spa manager. She went on to join L’Oreal New Zealand, working alongside salon owners, managers and hairdressers.
After 20 years in the hairdressing industry Sarah still loves her career and the people. As hairdressers, we are so lucky to be able to compliment people through their hair. Sarah loves the ‘wow moment’ when she’s created the look her client wanted and can easily look after themselves at home.

Sian
Style Director
Sian joined The Avenue team shortly after it opened in 2012, starting part-time working her way to now managing the salon. She has taken every opportunity to further her education, constantly expanding her knowledge within the industry.
Sian is passionate about blondes, from soft natural blends to light and bright, babylights to balayage, cool and wintery or warm and summery. She’s got you covered, making sure your blonde is the perfect shade for you! She also enjoys being able to transform any look with hair extensions.
Sian feels privileged to be able to give her clients a renewed confidence in a matter of hours making sure they feel incredible.

Sally
Style Director
Sally started in the industry in 2010 and joined The Avenue in May 2022. She is a bright and vibrant presence in the salon, always lightening the mood and creating a sense of fun with her clients.
Sally loves doing hair ups, beautiful bouncy blow waves and creating amazing blonde and copper colours. She keeps up with the latest trends and techniques to make sure her clients get the best style.
Sally is focused on giving her clients the best experience possible, creating incredible looks and cultivating wonderful relationships along the way.

Style Director
Alison started her hairdressing career in 1997 and joined The Avenue in May 2022.
She is warm, friendly and welcoming to all who come into the salon. Alison loves a challenge whether it’s cutting or colouring.
Alison loves tailoring each client's journey to create beautiful hair no matter the style or budget. She is always looking for creative solutions to get you where you want to go on your hair journey.
Alison loves making sure her clients get the best out of their hair by educating them to be able to recreate their best hair at home. Giving each client confidence in their hair everyday.

Stacey
Style Director
Stacey started her career in hairdressing in 2010 and joined The Avenue in April 2021. She is warm, easy-going and friendly making clients and staff feel at ease and taken care of in the salon.
Stacey loves to create beautiful natural colours, soft balayage and breathtaking blondes, with her attention to detail enabling her to create the most amazing hair.
Stacey knows that there is nothing better than the salon fresh feel, but being able to recreate that at home is even better. Taking extra time and care with her clients ensuring they get the best results possible.

Mica
Style Director
Mica has been in the hair industry since 2011, and in that time, has perfected her skills to become a master of color transformations. Whether it's creating stunning blonde shades or perfecting balayages, Mica thrives on making hair dreams come true. From lived in to platinum blondes.
Dry styling is her specialty—"I can work wonders with tongs and straighteners, and I'm about to dive headfirst into the world of extensions with boundless enthusiasm.
Training others is a true passion of mine (just ask Rosie!), and I get immense satisfaction from sharing my knowledge and skills."
"Hair health and integrity are at the forefront of everything I do. I’m dedicated to educating my clients on the best hair care practices without bombarding them with a plethora of products. This includes essential hot tool techniques and ensuring scalp health is never overlooked.
And, if you need a laugh, I like to think I’m a bit of a comedian (Sally can vouch for this). Let's make your hair fabulous while having a great time doing it!"

Emerging Stylist
Emma joined The Avenue team in February 2020 as a part-time shampoo assistant and has been working her way up ever since! She is now in her last year of her apprenticeship. She is always up for having some fun as well as a good conversation.
Emma loves doing big colour changes, blondes, textured short cuts and blunt bob cuts.
Emma is focused on giving you the best client journey possible, leaving your appointment looking amazing and feeling great!

Charlotte
Emerging Stylist
Charlotte joined The Avenue in July 2021 and is in her last year of her apprenticeship.
She is a very bubbly person and is always up for a laugh with clients, educating them to get the best out of their hair.
Charlotte loves to create dimensional balayages, blondes and enjoys doing layered cuts with bouncy blow waves.
Charlotte loves making her clients feel looked after and relaxed. Giving all her clients a five star experience!
